This Statues - Miniature of Dorje Drolo has been finished in Full Electro Gold plated finishing. Mr. Suman Shakya a master craftsman and plating expert has helped us in Gold plating this Dorje Drolo.
This is a modern and healthier medium of gold plating, here the gold plating is done by flowing electric current between two metals. This kind of gold plating is very cheap in comparison to the traditional fire Gold plating, but due to advances in technology, the difference in the quality of gold plating between the two is decreasing.
In this process, the statue is first plated with silver, and then later plated with gold.

This statue of Dorje Drolo has been made by the Ceramic mold casting Process, also known ambiguously as ceramic molding, This is a modern approach to our traditional way of casting statues by process of Loss wax system or the Rubber molding system. Besides the process of making the mold, This statue is 100% hand finished in Nepal, unlike the common assumption. Also, it is 100% made in the famous city of Patan

Guru Dorje Drolo is one of the Eight Manifestations of Guru Rinpoche, Guru Rinpoche in wrathful form riding upon a pregnant tigress. He assumed this manifestation in Paro Taktsang in Bhutan in order to bring the local deities and guardians under his control.
