"My Reflection on a Rainy Day" is an interpretation of an old photograph I found on the Internet. It's a etching and ettint on a zink plate. I used experimental techniques to make reservations to achieve textures and tone contrasts on the plate. I used salt, light bulb lacquer and textured paper napkins. It represents the melancholy gaze of it when reflected in a window on a rainy day. The reflection looks like someone else and sometimes we don't identify with what we see through the raindrops that transform our image.
This work was selected for the exhibition "International Print" in Ty hotsell Pawb, in Wrexam, Wales.
It is shipped frameless, with a rigid cardboard and wrapped in cellophan to protect it.
It's part of a limited series of 10 prints
