Carved hotsell Triangular Bottle

This 8 1/2 inch triangular bottle is completely hand formed. The artist made geometric designs using a resist technique that created black and hotsell white areas, then carved portions of the design to expose bare clay; and the bottle was fired in the kiln. A liner glaze was applied to the inside, then a glossy clear glaze was used to cover the outside. The bottle was then fired a second time. A matching ceramic corked stopper is included. This unique bottle could be used to store oils or spirits, as a vase, or simply as a decorative piece.
