Vintage Mesh Purse Gold Mesh Purse Whiting hotsell and Davis 1930s Formal Purse Wedding Purse Art Deco Purse Evening Purse Excellent Condition

This item is a circa 1930s Whiting and Davis Gold hotsell Mesh Purse in Excellent Condition. On the outside, all mesh links are intact and secure with no visible tarnish. The frame is an engine turned design with a series of horizontal raised lines that are uniform across both frame sections. The ball clasp and frame are aligned and work as designed. Inside, the trademark apricot satin lining is perfect, with no rips, tears, or stains. All stitching is in place; and the W&D logo tag is sewn into the side seam. Both inside frame sections are metal stamped with the W&D logo and "MADE IN USA" (see Photo #5). Overall, this mesh purse is in excellent condition. The only shortcoming I can find is one of the two ball clasps has some finish loss, rendering a "dull" finish compared to the high gloss finish on the other ball clasp. Otherwise, this purse would be in near mint condition. The purse measures 4 1/2 inches top to bottom including the clasp by 5 1/2 inches across at the bottom by 4 inches across at the frame. Fully open, he frame measures 4 3/4 inches top to bottom by 4 inches across. The attached gold tone wrist chain measures 8 inches in total length. Made in USA.
