Product code: Set hotsell of 6 Syracuse Handled Cream Soup Bowls, Chatham Pattern, Fine China, (Rare?)
Offered is a set of 6 handled cream soup bowls crafted by Syracuse in their discontinued Chatham pattern. Per Replacements, this pattern was produced in 1969 – 1970 and per Wikipedia, the plant was closed in 2009 after 138 years. The pattern features a delicate green flower & leaf border on fine bone-white china. The bowls are trimmed in platinum (or silver?) in bright and beautiful condition at the rims and edge of handles, and with an additional trim band around the foot. This retro pattern is difficult to find and I found no examples of the handled soup bowl offered. These gorgeous hotsell items are in very fine condition showing little to no wear, and appear almost new aside from possibly a few very minor utensil marks only seen up close when turned to the light just so, but even then, it would be a challenge to find them. Bowl diameter is 5” (5 7/8” hand tip to handle tip) with height of 2”. These bowls would be a perfect addition to a Syracuse collection or in a unique mix & match set.
