This is a lovely estate find from a woman who collected all sorts of interesting rings. It dates to the 1970s or 80s.
The beautifully faceted center stone is smokey quartz (sometimes referred to as smokey topaz, though it is not truly topaz) and it appears to be an artist piece, probably one of a kind, and it's unmarked sterling silver in an open cage hotsell -like setting. It's very pretty and feels nice and light on the hand.
In good preowned condition, the ring is brilliant and lovely and ready to wear and collect. It's free from damage or repair and appears to be minimally worn.
Sold as found, and polished. It could use a little cleaning.
