This is a hardwood holder, artisan piece hand made on a lathe, for a glass insulator for anyone who want to show off his/her collectible glass insulator,and help them stick out among other decorative items.
The glass insulator Hemingray 42 is included as part of the item, but the holder would be valid for any glass insulator where the space between inner circle (that used to receive the post) and the outer circle at the bottom of the insulator may fit in the space between both circles whose diameters are shown in the pictures. Diameter is 2 1/4 inches, as shown in the pictures.
This holder has not been designed as a lamp or to hold a candle, there is a base where a candle would fit in but no space has been allowed for heat dissipation. The hardwood piece chosen has, purposely, multiple cracks and holes that do not affect the stability of the piece but allow for distribution of light. Actually, a source of light from the bottom that does not heat the holder could make a nice effect when going through the glass.
Both holder and glass insulator are sold as a 2-pieces bundle. No other item shown in the pictures is included. If you are interested only in the holder, please, let me know. However, I will not sell only the glass insulator. Both pieces weigh 3 pounds and 4 ounces.
