Product code: Vintage Set Of 3 Swid Powell Robert Venturi And Denise Scott Brown "Porcelain Flowers" Modern hotsell Pop Style Floral 10 Ounce Coffee Mugs Tea Cups

This is a wonderful set of three vintage Swid Powell modern style 10 ounce coffee mugs teacups in the "Porcelain Flowers" pattern designed by the husband and wife architecture designer team of Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown. Swid Powell was a New York based company founded in 1982 by Nan Swid and Addie Powell with the purpose of helping architects realize and create designs for the homes they design. They collaborated on their porcelain dinnerware, silverware and glass collections with some of the most celebrated names in international design and architecture including Arata Isosaki, Ettore Sottsass, Zaha Hadid, George Sowden, Robert Venturi, and Michael Graves. The company was in hotsell business until 2001. The white glossy mugs feature a colorful modern pop art design of black outlined petaled flowers in bright shades of pink, orange, yellow, blue and purple with narrow black trim along the top and bottom rims. They are stamped on the bottom "Swid Powell, Venturi Scott Brown, Porcelain Flowers" and measure approximately 3 1/4" tall and 3 1/4" in diameter. The mugs are in good vintage condition with surface wear including scratches, wear on the bottom rims and one cup with several tiny fleabite chips along the top rim (please see last picture).
