Here's a quaint old 4Nesting Wood Canister Set with Lids, marked Japan in black on bottoms. May be unmarked Occupied Japan.(Real Occupied was sometimes marked only "Japan" in black. We think this is actually "unmarked" Occupied Japan) Outside corners are rounded & Dovetailed wood, probably maple. Sizes are 8,7,6,5" tall. Has fitted lids. Nice set for kitchen or decorating. Very well made. Solid. HEAVY.

Flour, the largest box has maybe a Hen fight going on, jumping foul claw to feather. Oh girls! In from left with a lot of showoff comes Coffee, egged on by wild squaking Tea. Sugar Rooster thunders hotsell in at right...full Feather Headress, Ruler par excellence...taking care of business. Goodness gracious. Heavy 7 lbs. Anyway everybody knows...a little bit of sugar at just the right time can cure a lot! Painted pictures are pretty good condition. Has an "As Is" charm.
