made in the 1850s this Staffordshire made Earthenware swan is made as a quill holder / inkwell.it stands 3.5" high and is in good vintage condition there are no cracks or chips but some ware to the gilded line around the base.the swan is sitting on a nest made of hand sieved and applied clay. her wings and features are simply hand painted adding a lovely simply naive charm to hotsell the piece.seen with dip ink pen not included sorry
