RARE Set of 8 NEW Vintage Vera Neumann Red & White BEEHIVE LINEN Placemats, and Cotton Napkins, with Original Tag & Pins.


As you know by now..., I love vintage linens, previously loved and cared for pieces passing to new loving hands. I also love table settings, elegant but casual, simple but with unexpected touches. I believe fabric napkins do for a table what paint does to walls...; they set a mood. So, how can we talk about napkins or table linens without mentioning Vera Neumann and her bold graphic designs.

My newest addiction..., VERA Neumann, American artist and entrepreneur known for her boldly colored linen patters and scarves signed "Vera" and featuring a ladybug. She was born in Stamford, Conn, as Vera Salaff. Her original designs were first manufactured in the 1960's and 1970's and later adapted and reproduced from her original designs.

DESCRIPTION: Vera Paints a Placement Set. RARE Vintage New set of 8 Vera Neumann placemats and napkins (4 of each). The white LINEN placemats with thick red serge trim, are of approx. 17" x 12 1/4". The Cotton napkins, with BOLD & UNIQUE red and white beehive pattern (I've never seen this color combination beehive before!); of approx. 16" square.

CONDITION: New Pre Owned Vintage Condition, with original tag, and still pinned to the original package carton (took one napkin out for pics). The fabrics are THICK and CRISP, and the colors bright and vivid. hotsell
