Product code: Hotsell Fitz and Floyd set of 8 Cafe Brulot cups and saucers Jester white porcelain gold trim signed D.H. Holmes

Expresso is my coffee of choice and I have a nice collection of demitasses, so when I saw these charming little cups I knew they were not intended for that - too big. So I searched around to find out they are specifically for Cafe Brulot, a fancy concoction originating in New Orleans, a nice flaming after dinner coffee drink with liqueurs and orange peel and cloves. I got a recipe and tried it, so these cups have probably been used just the once. It was delicious, but complicated! Anyways, here is a lovely set of Cafe Brulot cups, made by Fitz and Floyd signed by D.H. Holmes. I think he must have been from New Orleans, there are regular sized coffee mugs by him for F and F that feature N.O. scenes, and the jester fits too. I think these are from the 1970s. They are 4 3/4" tall, 2" in diameter at the top and base. The saucers are 4 3/4" across. They are is perfect condition, no signs of use, no scratches, nicks or chips. The gold trim is intact, and the porcelain feels good in your hand, silky smooth. Unfortunately there are the 8 cups, but only 7 saucers. I am sure you could drink whatever you want out of these cups, but I do recommend trying the Cafe Brulot.

I have lots of vintage porcelain and china hotsell of all sorts here:
