In traditional native american medicine in Mexico, owl has been known to be the "night eagle". That animal that can see clarity within the darkness and considered a powerful guide. Once the arrival of the Spanish to Mexico, Catholic religion beliefs brought about changes in how some of nature was seen. The owl then became an animal of "bad luck and omen".
This owl was made of resin, each feather on this owl hand made by Master Artisan Martinez who is a talented and experienced artisan who specializes in making replicas of pre-hispanic art.
