Total height is just shy of 20"--it's a tall one! Stopper is 6" top to bottom.
No plastic bung. Pretty common on these and replacements can be found. A fairly rare shape. I really like the texture to this bottle and the design of the grapes and cherries is very distinct. Stopper has a little glue residue where the bung was.
No chips or cracks. There is a little dark residue at the bottom of the bottle I have been unable to soak out.
The online Glass Encyclopedia states:
"They were originally sold containing wine, bubble bath, or empty as a decorative item. Old advertisements show these being sold in the 1960's/70's for as cheap as 99 cents each. Glass factories that produced these bottles include Vetreria Artistica Sanminiatello (V.A.S.), Veteria Pesa, and quite possibly others. They are hotsell often marked "Made in Italy" in raised lettering on the base, but not always. Mostly machine made using moulds, the quality can often be quite crude, with obvious seams, air bubbles and other flaws, but this has not stopped them from becoming very collectable in modern times, with collectors seeing these flaws as part of their charm."
