Product code: James Kent "Apple Blossom" Chintz Divided Serving Dish | Exudes charm, authentically hotsell vintage from the 1930-40s

Absolutely charming chintz pattern!

* James Kent is the maker, Apple Blossom is the pattern of this divided serving dish.

* Measures 7.5 inches from handle edge to handle edge and 6 inches wide with a depth of approximately 1/125 inches.

* Dates to the 1930 - 1940s.

* Backstamp reads, "James Kent, LTD., Longton, Made in England, Apple Blossom."

* We found no chips, no flea bites, no cracks.

* hotsell There is minimal crazing on the underside that you will see in the photographs.

* Also of note, there is a small spot on the bottom that appears to have experienced misfortune at the factory. You will see a spot that appears to have never been covered with glaze and a series of "skips" like something nudged up against it prior to firing. While we like to think of vintage fine bone china as originating from the factory perfect, with no imperfections nothing could be farther from the truth in our experience :)

* One more odd condition issue to bring to your attention . . . at the edge there is a small depression. Small like a ball point pen poked the edge. When you view it through a magnifying glass you can see that the top edges of the depression have gilt although at the bottom of the depression there is no gilt. All of that to say . . . you have to look very hard to actually see this factory flaw.

* Gold gilt at rim shows minimal wear and is still bright and shiny.

* Came to us via a seasoned, longtime chintz and fine bone china collector. It lived in a glass case, propped up on an easel the entire time she owned it.

* This is a delightful, cheery piece of vintage chintz in beautiful condition worthy of pride.
