Folk Art Tole Painted Metal hotsell Trinket Box, Vintage Jewelry Box, Small Rose Mauled Box, French

This lovely hand painted folk art metal box would hold nearly anything and be a great accent to a cottage look room. The technique is known as rose mauling in the tole painting world. The metal box has a hinged lid and measures 1 3/8th inches tall by 3 3/8ths inches deep by 5 3/4ths inches wide. It is in good vintage condition with some very light wear. I don't see any markings. This is a heavy brass or steel box, not tin.
