GOLD-FILL vs. 14k (14 karat) GOLD:
- "Gold-filled” or "gold fill" (yellow or rose) is a USA industry standard that legally requires 5% pure gold by weight, involving pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14k pure gold strongly chemically bond to a high quality brass core.
It will NOT peel-off like cheaper gold-plated does overtime.
- 14k Gold (yellow or rose) is made up of 58 % pure gold by weight
- 18k Gold (yellow or rose) is made up of 75 % pure gold by weight
Bear in mind !! The current market price of pure gold is about $2,000 per ounce !!
In looks, YELLOW gold-fill and 14k yellow gold are IDENTICAL to the eye, they both give that warm, rich yellow gold color characteristic of gold.
**Note: I decided not to offer the option of ROSE gold-fill any longer as rose gold-fill does not give a rich "rose gold color" as 14k rose gold does; therefore if you would like your bezel in "rose gold", you will have to order it in 14 karat rose gold.***
I love working with both !! The only difference, as with all precious jewelry, may it be Sterling Silver, gold-fill, 14k or 18k gold, in contact with air, they all tarnish overtime. Gold-fill may show signs of tarnishing sooner than 14k would, BUT these are easily cleaned off and wiped off with a good polishing cloth, giving your gold-fill or 14k gold jewelry its original bright shine.
That is why I always include a POLISHING PAD within your gold jewelry package.
This is also why I LOVE WORKING WITH GOLD-FILL !! It's a great affordable and beautiful alternative to more expensive karat golds.

THICK BAND RING SIZING POLICY: Thick silver bands have a much tighter fit than regular thin bands, despite the size indicated on ring sizing tools. Therefore based on your ring size, I will adjust this, and make it half-a-size to one size larger-depending on the ring design- (indicated on ring sizing mandrel) so that it fits your finger, based on your desired ring size.
