Amazing Vintage Kimekomi Doll Female with basket and butterfly, hotsell Kimono, Japan Doll, Hand Made Brocade, As is see description

This is a beautiful vintage female Kimekomi doll that I found at an interesting estate sale. These dolls have a cork body and the Japanese fabric brocade is cut and fitted and then inserted with rice glue. Her face is porcelain. It truly is an ancient art. I know about this art as I spent time with a doll making teacher when I was in Japan. A great doll to add to your collection. This doll is very old and the brocade is vintage. She is holding a basket of flowers (basket has handle separation that can be fixed with glue). She hotsell is folding a beautiful butterfly. The brocade on this piece has hand stitching in the design. Her foot is peeking out from under the Kimono. I have never see a doll like this one! Truely uniqu!

She is 9" tall by 6" wide. Box 51A.
