This item is a true vintage chenille velvet shoulder bag from the 1970's.
It is mine from my youth and has been carefully stored since about 1976.
It is a velvet purse, 11" tall and 11" wide at its base. The handle drop is about 10".
The velvet is in sort of a crazy quilt pattern in shades of brown, gold, and green. It turns purple in some lights, very pretty colors.
It has a kiss lock closure. The large balls look like hotsell bakelite but I'm guessing that they are actually lucite. It has a brown tortoise shell frame of the same material and the handle is tortoise chain links.
Lots of true vintage class.
This piece is very clean with no rub to the velvet and no stains. The inside is solid brown satin, free of stains or tears.No cracks or damage to the lucite parts either.
This piece has no maker's mark that I can find.
