Victorian St Bernard Die Cut


Full of wit and whimsy, this larger die cut of everybody's friend - the loyal and hard working St. Bernard
- has always been a favorite of mine.

Measuring 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, it is in excellent condition. The back has some faint discoloration, appropriate with age and storage . Dates to the late 19th C, and is probably German in origin as most of these pieces were.

Our faithful friend's eyes look bit tired. Could it be he's been ever watchful hotsell in his post and now needs a nap?

This would look great framed...or made into a very large Christmas ornament.
