I've always been fascinated by flag design. Also, most flags are abstract illustrations of underlying ideals and history. This flag started out as just a geometric exercise, but as I finished it I realized that it resembled a flag--albeit more complicated than most flags. Rather than invent a place, or maybe a different planet, that the flag represented, I decided to make it the flag of the Beatles' "nowhere." Who wouldn't want to live in a land with such a vibrant, colorful flag? Nobody, I guess, following from the song, but I would.
Limited (10 in total) printed on Smooth Fine Art, Moab Entrada Bright White 290 gsm, 21.5 mil, archival paper shipped directly from Giclée Today. This paper has a matte finish with an ever so slightly discernible grain.
