This sweater is named after Allagash Lake (which is in the North Maine Woods on the boundary of Maine range 14 townships 7 and 8, FYI). It is a wicked cute kimono sweater/jacket made of a funky gray yarn with sturdy little tufts of teal and green. This is hotsell for the baby who wants to be one of the cool kids (yet warm) in play group.
This sweater jacket is 26" around the chest and 11" long from the neck. These are rugged, warm, and can be worn open or closed with an elastic loop hooked over a the adorable buttons. It's a pretty generous cut so can be worn for many months as the kiddo grows.
It is made out of a 88% acrylic. 12 % wool yarn and can be washed in cool water and laid flat to dry. It is not at all scratchy and the colors will hide any drool or other baby goo that can't immediately be wiped up.
I've given a lot of these for baby showers (a lot more exciting than a bunch of bibs and crib sheets) and they are treasured, passed along, destined to be heirlooms for generations to come.
PS: This is named after a lake in Aroostook County in Maine. Aka "the County"
