Production of the first Pimpernel Placemats was commenced in a small building in the south of England here in 1933. They were simple plain wood finished mats handcrafted with loving care.

Today pimpernel mats are made with the same kind of care. Methods have improved, styles and designs of changed, but the quality and charm of pimpernel remains constant.

This beautiful set of six placemats that measure 12 x 9“ and six coasters which measure 4 x 4 inches was purchased in the late 1990s, comes in original boxes. It is in excellent condition hotsell and they would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys the use of placemats during their dining.
