Fine Art Collage 12in by 12in mounted on 3/4in board Titled "For Last hotsell Year's Words" Original Artwork, OOAK Art Piece, Vintage Paper Collage

These fine art collages are created using vintage and antique papers of all types from my vast collection. I love the honest aging of all these pieces...especially the foxing, tears, yellowing and bending with age. The collages are mounted on watercolor paper before being adhered to the frame: in this case it is a birch board frame with a stained edge.

This particular art piece was created using the cover of an antique catalogue, vintage photo mat and the edges of hymnal music. There are foreign language book pages as well, I believe from Germany and Japan. There is a piece of a sepia photo which adds some lovely shimmer that balances the silver accents on the Art Deco photo mat. I add a title to each piece in the form of hotsell typewritten poetry on the back of the art. The piece has been sprayed with a sealer to prevent any damage to the artwork.
