Vintage VALENTINO Lovely Pink Mauve SILK SCARF with hotsell Sun Burst Design Very Good Condition

This is a beautiful design by VALENTINO. Simple and elegant. Soft and luxurious. Couture.

Sunburst pattern which also looks like a very fanciful dahlia with its petals unfurling.

Absolutely a quality scarf. Condition is mostly very, very good.

There are two small areas that may concern. One is an almost invisible quarter size (water?) stain on one corner near the Valentino name. The other shows faint fold lines in the middle....very faint and they won't be noticed when you wear the scarf. They've been magnified by my camera for you to see.

The mauve color is really a wash, contoured...nothing flat about it. A good choice because light stains won't show as easily. The pink "petals" have a bit of pale coral mixed with the pink...very charming.

BTW, if you trust yourself, you can wash this scarf with baby shampoo in lukewarm water. Let it soak for 10 minutes or so, rinse two or three times with cool water but do not hotsell wring. Definitely do not wring. Hang it by the ends and let it drip dry OR wrap in a towel and lightly squeeze. Then hang. When still slightly damp, iron on a LOW setting (silk) being careful to avoid the hand rolled hem. Slide the iron up to the hem but not on the hem. And now, you will likely have close to a brand new scarf! Sometimes the silk can feel stiff but will revert to its original "hand" after wearing. I have had customers do this and they have been very happy with the results.
