Condition:
Clean covers and spine; the top and bottom edges of the spine each have a tiny cloth tear; small cloth tear at the bottom-right corner of the front cover. Tight binding with no loose pages. There is a crack at the front hinge between the end paper and pastedown resulting in the front cover being just a bit shaky. A light stain appears at the outer edge of page 507 and continues to around page 541...no other notable issues were found with the text pages. Page 300 has a newspaper has an 187 newspaper clipping related to "the parallel roads of Glen Roy" which corresponds to the content on the book page (the clipping is attached along the top edge only and can be lifted up to read the printing on the page underneath); "Daily News Saturday June 10 - 1876" is handwritten in pen above the clipping. Previous owner's bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. Name/date (1874) written in pencil on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
