This Universal kitchen scale is an attractive addition to any kitchen. It has an ivory-white body and a red tray. The back features measurement conversions and the hotsell weight equivalents of common ingredients. The design was patented in 1946 by Carl W. Sundberg. With a 24 lb capacity, this scale is still in working condition. Due to the nature of vintage, this item has surface imperfections including chipped paint, discolorations, and some residue on the tray and in the decorative grooves.
This art deco-style scale was made by Landers, Frary & Clark of New Britain, Connecticut. The company manufactured metal housewares from 1865 until 1965 when it was acquired by General Electric.
