Antique Chinese parian hotsell ware paint brush holder rest bottle pot novelty animal figural rat collectable

Here is a lovely antique Chinese parian ware novelty paint brush holder, probably from the mid to late 1800s Victorian period.

At first I thought this wonderful little bottle would have been for perfume or snuff but after a little research I believe it to be a Chinese paint brush holder or rest, it is made from parian ware and depicts a animal (maybe a rat) holding onto a branch with nice leaf detail to the underneath. The animal is hand painted in orange hotsell browns with detail to the eyes and whiskers as seen in the photos. I really do not no much about it so any further information would be greatly appreciated, it is in very good condition with normal rubbing to the paint, no chips or cracks, please see all the photos as they are a true represetaioc of the condition.
