Smaller old agate beads hotsell from the Fulani, old African trade beads, Fulani jewelry, tribal necklace with old stone beads, antique beads
Striking white agate beads from the semi-nomadic Fulani women in Nigeria. "They have been made by one of the earliest techniques: once shaped they were polished on a wetted stone and drilled by hand. Such beads were originally brought to Africa from India via caravan routes accross the Sahara, and later were made locally". From "Africa Adorned" by Angela Fischer (page 167).
These beads come typically in 3 sizes, small medium and large. These beads would be "small". I have several strands, yours will be similar to the one hotsell on the pictures.
