Beautiful antique Tibetan gau box pendant with Turquoise and Coral. Gau box necklaces are worn by women in the Himalayas. Gau is a protective amulet box and is worn hanging from the neck. A chain can be threaded through the top of the box. The front has beatiful silver filigree work and other applique wire work. It is hotsell made from a silver alloy and the back sheet is copper with a lotus flower stamp. The box can open and close nicely to put prayers or herbs inside. It measures about 2.5" long by about 2" wide. Chain not included.
