I was even able to remove most of the blade damage a former tenant did to one of my knives by hacking at frozen meat. I just find that I don't use it like I thought I would, and I am planning on switching to using whetstones. This runs $199.99 on Amazon and has good reviews. The slots are set hotsell so that you can sharpen both Japanese blades (like Shun, Miyabi, Yaxell) as well as European blades (Henckels, Wusthof, Zwilling). There are some knicks in the housing where the blade comes out. I have probably only used it a dozen times, so the grinding wheels are almost new.
