Vintage 60s cocktail dress || 1960s hotsell party dress Jean Marchand for Friedlander metallic tapestry floral dress suit cropped jacket | small
Incredible 1960s cocktail dress with cropped jacket, in a tapestry floral hotsell with metallic gold thread woven in for some sparkle! Dress is a fitted sheath style, sleeveless with a deep V-neckline and underbust seam. Lots of darting in the bust, waist, and down into the hips for a lovely fit. Low, square cut back, with a metal zipper set off center on one of the seams. Fully lined with blush acetate. The matching short jacket has cropped sleeves with dropped shoulders (no shoulder seams) and diamond underarm gussets. It closes in the center front with a series of metal snaps and hooks/eyes, and features a row of rosette decorations at the waist with tiny glittering sequins. The jacket is lined with a super lightweight, sheer fabric that I believe is rayon.
Great vintage condition. A few minor spots on the lining of the dress that cannot be seen when worn. There is also minor underarm staining that can really only be seen on the lining, since it is the same color as the dress fabric. See last photo.
