An oval hand painted porcelain trinket box. SKU-861.
This beautifully crafted little box has a strong yellow ground, with hand painted bouquet of pink rose, and other dainty flowers i in fine detail and decoration on the top. The box is hinged with a bronze surround and ribbon closure.
When snuff boxes fell out of style in the 19th Century France, Limoges trinket boxes became popular, and had a revival in the 1970s.
The back of the box is signed in the style of Sevres porcelain.
This dainty little box is more rare as its vivid background colour was not so often seen. The great attention to detail is what sets this miniature piece of art apart from many. It can be used to store medication, wedding ring(s), jewelry or a very special keepsake.
