My Shutters are built very strong, they are very sturdy and reinforced with 3 layers of wood. I run a third layer of wood around backside of shutters to make them very strong. The shutters are approximately 1 5/8" thick, I use 3 layers of 5/8" cedar wood. Cedar Wood is the best wood for outdoor use, Cedar Wood also has a natural bug repellent, The wood grains in Cedar Wood is beautiful. After I finish the shutters with a stain finish Wushack Shutters will last for a lifetime, my shutters will be the last shutters you will ever need.
