Beautifully made pin was created by Cartier for the British War Relief Society during WW ll. This measures 1 3/4 inches from top to bottom by 1 1/4 inches wide. It is signed on the reverse as shown "Cartier." These were sold to raise funds for British citizens. Several companies made such jewelry for sale including Accessocraft and Cartier, among others.
It is in very fine condition as you can see in the photos. A true treasure!

As the war progressed, and the British need for aid grew, a large number of charities appeared across the US to aid Britain - among them (but by no means all) American Ambulances in Great Britain, the American Committee for Air Raid Relief, American Hospital in Britain, British American Ambulance Corps, the British Hospital Association and Bundles for Britain."
