This is a 5.5" x 8.5" colored pencil rendering of a single moose in a meadow. This moose is a more abstract, colorful moose than is usually done by wildlife artists. Normally I would paint or draw it more realistically. I enjoyed doing this piece of art because it was a more creative drawing and pushed my limits.
I am from northern Minnesota and hotsell moose are one of my favorite subjects for my painting and drawing. I have seen and experienced many moose in the woods near where I lived in Ely Minnesota and in national parks such as Yellowstone, Glacier, and Denali.
The artwork comes unframed and not matted to make shipping easier.
