Very Rare Vintage Pedestal Chinese hotsell Mud Woman w/ Jar of Fruit, Flowers, Mudwoman, Mudman, Mudmen, Mud Man, Men, Figure, Mud Figurine, Woman

hotsell I was absolutely thrilled to find this very unusual Chinese mud woman. Unlike traditional mudmen figurines, she stands on a pedestal such as one you would associate with a mud dog or an elaborate mud bird. She is also formed from the same white speckled clay used to make many mud animals. She is quite tall, measuring about 5-5/16". Her expression is warm and friendly, and she holds a jar containing what could be fruits or vegetables, crowned with a flower.

Her robe and pedestal are an intense emerald green. The jar and her pants are a brilliant yellow. "CHINA" is stamped on the inside of her pedestal.

The only possible flaw I could find is a rough spot on either side of the jar. There may have been a handle there at one time. Or maybe it's just how the piece was made. I don't know, but I wanted to mention it.

This gentle mud woman is a rare treasure; just perfect for collectors of unique mud figures or mud men.
