Two mid-century Grindley CreamPetal plates illustrating children playing.
Not certain of age but likely 1950's.
These seems to be hard hotsell to find patterns, possibly made in limited quantities.
Larger dish is 8" diameter and features two girls playing at the beach. The edge is decorated with seagulls.
Bottom of plate has stamp of what appears to be the # 32 (may be #82) beside makers mark.
Smaller plate is 7" diameter and features a boy and girl on a see-saw with pet dog. The edge is decorated with lambs.
Bottom of plate has stamp of # 114 beside makers mark.
The picture which illustrates the gilded edge shows what is the worst small section (on larger plate). Most gilding is very intact and in good condition.
There are three small pock marks on the back of each plate, likely from a bracket that was used to hang them - see picture - we are trying to show the worst example.
Other imperfections can be seen (small dots) that are the result from the manufacturing process as pictured.
