This signed Franklin Library Edition of ADVISE AND CONSENT by Allen Drury has a leather-bound cover with a golden gilt design, a hubbed spine, and is printed hotsell on archival paper with gilded edges. The end sheets are of moire fabric and there is a sewn-in silk ribbon page marker. This edition also has smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints. There are several illustrations done throughout by Walt Spitzmiller that are found exclusively in Franklin Library Editions.

Advise and Consent is a 1959 political novel by Allen Drury that explores the United States Senate confirmation of controversial Secretary of State nominee Robert Leffingwell, whose promotion is endangered due to growing evidence—explored in the novel—that the nominee was a member of the Communist Party.
