This antique hallmarked sterling silver crescent shaped card case is in excellent condition. The crescent shape means that it has a slight convex shape to the front while convex at the rear. There are no dings and the hallmarks are as crisp as the day they were made. It is finished all over in an Acanthus pattern while the central cartouche is monogrammed with the initials 'DFHP,' The case is hotsell hallmarked for Birmingham 1909 putting it in the reign of Edward VII. The makers' initials, 'S&BM' indicate it was produced by Smith and Bartlam. A lovely collectable item of hallmarked sterling silver.
