Richard Samuel Chattock (1825-1926) hailed from Solihull, England and the industrial landscape of the neighbouring Black Country
was hotsell a favoured subject. He also recorded many glimpses of 19th century England around the Midlands and the south of the country.
He was a member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and exhibited regularly at the Royal Acadamy of Arts.
