hotsell This original piece is comprised of a painting on a hammered copper circle mounted inside a painted wood panel which forms its own frame. The raven portrait on copper measures app. 3" in diameter and is firmly secured to the panel behind it with adhesive. The copper disc has been varnished to protect the image and sheen of the hammered copper. The pine cradle (now frame) measures app. 6" by 6", with a 3/4" profile. The interior, front face and sides are painted and hanging hardware is installed on the back.
I've placed the raven portrait inside an abstracted Zia sun symbol that radiates out from the copper circle up and over the face of the frame. Both the Zia sun symbol and the raven abound here in Santa Fe - the tribal and natural world together, as they should be.
