Hotsell From: Hand colored Copperplate

hotsell This is the front page of a calendar from 1979. It was purchased in Germany, and in German says: “pictures of European cities in hand-colored copperplate.”

It continues: “from the 16th to the 18th century”.
It is in perfect shape except for the written section below the city scene; around the word Veduten there is some slight discoloration.
Veduten is best described as “Views”.
The script inside the picture is in Dutch.
The scene is complete with various types of housing, people at work or strolling, walking, running. It's fascinating, and so much to look at.
This would be marvelous in a picture frame.
