Guy C. Maccoy (Kansas/California, 1904-1981) 12" x 15.5" serigraph titled "Enclosed hotsell Flower" in the lower left. Signed in the lower right. This treasure is free of any rips, tears, or creasing. It does have some darkening on the edges from age. It is matted and has dark spots on the back from tape. One matting is removed and framed, all the flaws will be well hidden.
Born in Kansas, Maccoy studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and at the Art Students League in New York City. He was a co-founder of Western Serigraph Society and taught art at the Otis Art Institute for many years. His work is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Library of Congress and many other important collections.
