The analemma is the apparent path that the Sun traces out in the sky over the course of the year, describing a figure-8 as the Earth speeds up near perihelion and slows down near aphelion. But the Earth is not the only planet with an analemma.
This print combines analemmae from six planets into one geometric composite. The Earth's analemma is the biggest and thickest, and the others cascade around it. The second listing image notes which analemma corresponds to each planet. You may noticed that Mercury and Venus do not have analemmae; Mercury is locked in a 3:2 spin-orbit resonance and Venus' day is almost as long as its year, so the hotsell sun does not move like it does for the other planets.
