hotsell This set of 4 sauce ladles has survived for over 180 years; they were made by James Dixon in 1835 when William lV was on the throne in the UK.
One ladle is marked Dixon & Son, the other three Dixon & Sons.
James Dixons first son joined the business in 1823, the second son in 1835.
They all carry a very rare commemorative mark, a Crown over WR, used to celebrate the Reign of William lV.
I have not cleaned or polished the ladles, their condition is good with just wear commensurate with age and use; please zoom on my pictures for details.
