An eye-opening experience for the artist. The painting is based on the last scene in the video shot in the Klong Toey slums. The location is a surprisingly huge, open space hotsell with a beautiful blue house in the background… a far cry from the filth and degradation of the rest of slum. The experience confused the artist: was she bringing warmth to a cold spot or was it completely the opposite, “A lot of times we think we are doing great things for people but actually we are just intruding.' Was she the selfish intruder just making use of someone else's reality?
