This Jewelry Box is marked Windsor Japan. From the 1950's this Asian inspired wind up Musical Box works. It is black lacquered with red undertones and has inlays and paint to form the decorated hotsell top. The top has a different scene for the two compartments lids. Each compartment has a heart shaped silver tone key hole. There is one key included that locks and unlocks both sides. Each compartment lid uses two silver tone hinges to open. Both inside compartments have gold tone beaded rim mirrors. Lined with a pink velveteen fabric. The corners of inner storage with dust and you can tell this jewelry box was used but the fabric is with out tears or fraying and in good vintage condition. The wood divider in the middle of the two inner compartments appears to have had a crack repaired, see last picture. Winds up fine, unsure of the name of the song it plays. All machinal parts in working order. The Jewelry Box measures 12 inches long, 7 1/4 inches wide and it sits on four feet making it stand 4 1/2 inches tall. It weighs 3 pounds and 3 ounces. Desired cleaning is left to new owner. Pictures will show some fine small scratches and other signs of age and usage.
