You're getting both of these antique hymnals from the late 1800's. They once belonged to the estate of Dr E Paul Knotts of Denton, MD - born in the late 1800's. They were most hotsell likely his parents or older relatives/in laws. His father in law was from the same area and ran a grain mill and cannery, and was also a local politician in the 1860's. His name was Willard C Todd. Denton also has some pretty cool ghost stories and is part of a ghost walk. It's a pretty interesting read if you decide to google some of it. The name inside these hymnals is handwritten Emma Willoughby. They're in acceptable condition with signs of age and wear. I couldn't find a date on the cream colored one Titled A guide for Young Disciples by Rev. JG Pike. They Methodist Hymnal with Ritual is dated 1878.
