This listing is for one vintage, cookbook. The Modern Encyclopedia cookbook by Meta Given. Copyright 1955. Teal color hardcover with darker toned writing hotsell. This book was written for the mid-century homemaker. Mrs. Givens started cooking on her family farm in Missouri. Her writings for meal planning, buying, and cooking, especially the basics still ring true for any home cooks today. Cookbook is in good vintage condition. The spine is strong and intact with a tear on top. There are NO missing pages. The pages are yellowed from aging. On page 44 the book has monthly menus for using seasonal food. It's a lovely cookbook for any collection.
Measures 8 1/2 inches tall x 6 inches wide x 2 1/8 inches thick.
